Climate and Weather in Kerala, India

Even during July and August pleasant weather mainly prevails

Along the coast there are always much less clouds than a couple of miles inland.
Because of Kerala's closeness to the equator the contrast between the dry season and monsoon is not as pronounced as in other areas in India, for example in North India.
During the month of June Kerala usually receives monsoon showers, that can be quite heavy at times, but already starting from July 10, climate returns to more sunny and dry weather.
The beautiful landscape of Kerala is characterized by green and in parts even lush vegetation - there are rain showers occasionally throughout the whole year.

The temperatures

range between 25 and 33 degrees Celsius throughout the whole year. The warmest months in the year are April and May, where the average temperatures range between 28 and 34 degrees.

Swimming

in the sea is usually possible from September until mid May. From mid May to end of August the waves are usually to high for swimming in the sea. But of course, it is possible to swim in our new Seawater-Pool throughout the year. More...
