Along the coast there are always much less clouds than a couple of miles inland.
Because of Keralas closeness to the equator there is not as much contrast between the dry season and monsoon like in North India.
In June there is usually monsoon along the coast, but already starting from July 10, the weather is mostly sunny and dry, especially from August this New Year and from there till mid May.
Heavy monsoon rains are only in June, sometimes also in May.
Good weather through fall and winter, with temperatures between 25 and 32 degrees Celsius. April still good, but hotter (approx. 33 degrees Celsius).

The temperatures

vary throughout the whole year through between 25 and 33 degrees Celsius. The warmest months are April and May with average temperatures between 28 and 34 degrees.

Swimming

is usually possible from September until mid May and usually not possible from mid May until end of August because of the rough sea. More...
